About Me
Hi, I’m Kat! My photography journey began in 2015 when my dad bought a camera for our trip to visit family in Hawaii. For six weeks, I never let go of that camera, teaching myself the ins and outs of photography in paradise.
I started my photography business in 2018 to raise money for a trip to Mexico. I experimented more with my camera and began learning from other photographers. This extra level of work, research, and dedication helped me discover how much I love this art.
Here are a few more facts about me:
- I was born and raised just outside of Dayton, and I love finding new hikes, restaurants, and events in the area.
- I’m currently attending Sinclair part-time to earn a degree in Digital Marketing.
- I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Piper.
- I love reading classic mysteries (Agatha Christie is my favorite).
- I’m a 2023 bride!
Why you should choose me as your photographer

How will you send me my photos?
Your photos will be delivered through a link to an online gallery. From there, you’ll be able to download your photos and share the link with friends and family. After a few months, I’ll have to remove your link. But don’t worry, I’ll notify you first.
When will I get my photos back?
For weddings, I’ll send you a sneak peek just a few days after your ceremony. The rest of your photos will be done within 2 months. For other sessions, I aim for a turnaround time of 14 days.
Can I post my photos on social media?
Please do! All I ask is that you don’t edit your photos by adding filters or effects. I would also love to be tagged in your photos!
Will I have the printing rights to my photos?
Yes! You’ll have the option to print photos, canvases, and albums directly through the link I send you. I’ve hand selected an excellent U.S.-based photo lab that will preserve the quality and vibrancy of your photos.
I’m camera shy and I don’t know how to pose. Will you help me?
Lots of my clients tell me they feel awkward in front of the camera and don’t know what to do. But that’s okay! It’s my job to direct the shoot and make it comfortable and fun. I’ll give you a mix of poses and prompts that will lead to natural looking photos you’ll love.
Can I request poses?
Yes! Please show me your Pinterest board or the TikTok you saw last week. I want to make your vision come to life.
What should I wear for my photo shoot?
I suggest avoiding neon colors and large prints and patterns. For family photos, it’s best to limit the number of people wearing patterns and pick colors that coordinate rather than match. But ultimately, you should wear whatever you feel confident and comfortable in! These are your photos, and they should reflect your personality.
Do you travel?
I travel up to an hour away from Dayton for family and portrait sessions without travel fees. I travel up to an hour and a half away from Dayton for weddings without travel fees.
I’m eloping. What will my pricing look like?
